Life Hack: Overnight Oats Recipe

If you’re a wellness junkie, I’m sure you’re already familiar with the health benefits of oatmeal. Research shows that whole grain oats can help lower cholesterol as well as lower blood pressure. They’re also packed with vitamins, minerals and fibre. Oats are also a wonderful choice to keep blood sugar steady and provide fuel to power through your day and workout!
Since oats are such a delicious super food, there’s no reason not to start incorporating them into your diet.
A personal favourite brand of mine is Quaker Oats UK 100% traditional rolled oats. Super easy to make and tastes even better with a pinch of cinnamon, flax and chia seeds! To give it a little sweetness, I add a touch of stevia or honey, although it tastes good without it.
When I know I’m going to be on the go and won’t have as much time in the morning, I make overnight oats. They’re super yummy and convenient.
50 grams of Quaker Oats
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
3 tablespoons of chia seeds
3 tablespoons of yoghurt
160ml of almond milk
1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
A handful of coconut chips and berries!
-Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
-Put the mixture into a clean jar (I like to use mason jars)
-Store them in the fridge overnight
-In the morning add the toppings
