Skincare is my obsession. I’ll spend money on skincare items over clothes anyyyyy day. My philosophy is that my skin is with me for life. I’d much rather invest in the long term with products that benefit my skin. Dewy skin is the goal, am I right?!

Things I look for when purchasing a new skincare product:

  • Reviews to make sure it’s worth the investment, especially for pricier treatments.
  • I’m on a budget so I look for products that are affordable but still effective. I do sometimes splurge but only if I read amazing reviews from multiple sources.
  • How effective it will be for what I’m trying to achieve. Skincare is not what works for someone else.  It needs to work for you. Get to know your skin and then customize based on what your needs are.

Here are my current skincare obsessions:

Elephant C-Firma Day Serum

I make a concerted effort to stay out of the sun, however, I still get those pesky sun spots on my nose. The earlier the problem is treated, the better. I’ve tried a couple different serums and I find the C-Firma Day Serum is the most effective at reducing sun spots. Even though its $80, the bottle lasts and it’s worth the investment. Make sure to apply to your face, neck and hands BEFORE applying your sunscreen. It’s no wonder this product is a cult beauty favorite. It really does the job!

Hanskin Real Complexion Hyaluron Skin Essence

My skin is drrryyyyyyy. Which means I’m constantly on the hunt for products that will replenish my skin with moisture. This essence does just that. It’s incredibly hydrating when you put it on, leaving your skin feeling dewy. According to Soko Glam, the “formula contains an advanced form of hyaluronic acid called sodium hyaluronate that’s comprised of smaller molecules, allowing it to hold 1,000 times more moisture than water”. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for an essence to boost your hydration levels.

Organic rosehip oil

This oil is super nourishing for dry skin. I massage the oil on my skin after I apply my toner, essence, serum and retinol. Rosehip oil contains vitamin A, which helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Rosehip oil also contains vitamin C, which helps to brighten the complexion and my skin looks plumper after using it. I guess you can say I’m a big fan.

So these are three products I highly recommend based on my skincare goals.   What are you guys loving right now?
